Throughout the year the conditions of the weather remain more or less consistent. There is very little or no variation in temperature at all. The coastal town of Hilo receives two seasons. The maximum difference between the day and night temperature has been fourteen degrees Fahrenheit. Te same is the case in the winter season, and the maximum difference between the temperature during the day and the temperature during the night is sixteen degrees Fahrenheit.
